Budding Poets in 5th Class!

As January comes to an end, we take a look back on some of the excellent poetry composed by Rang a Cúig at the beginning of the month. 

When 5th class returned in the new year they studied the poem ‘On New Years Day’ by Kenn Nesbitt. Everyone loved the witty nature of the poem and so we decided to write our own, as we thought it was an appropriate way to say goodbye to the very unusual year that was 2021!

The finished product did not disappoint! Each poem incorporated the technique of rhyme and the comical features associated with Kenn Nesbitt’s poem. 

We had a great time composing these poems so we hope you enjoy reading them!
