The Active School Committee are running a Bake Sale on Tuesday February 17th.Children in 4th, 5th and 6th classes are invited to bake (or provide) one treat which can be sold on the day | School closed for midterm break on 19th and 20th of February. | Swimming letters have been sent home with children from 3rd to 6th. Money can be paid to the class teacher.

Sligo StartBox at Home

As part of the  Volunteer Support Initiative, Sligo Sport and Recreation Partnership, Irish Athletics Boxing Association (IABA), and Sligo County Boxing Board have teamed up to roll out a Startbox At Home Programme starting this March for families in Sligo. The aim of the programme is to introduce children to the Sport of Boxing through interactive online Boxing and Skipping sessions. In return for full commitment to the programme, each child will receive access to a 6 Week Programme, a Training Booklet to guide you through the programme and a Skipping Rope.

Programme Details:

Overview: Startbox At Home consists of a 6 week programme including 11 IABA Boxing specific videos and 12 skipping 'exercise with me' tutorial videos which will be sent to each participating family via email each week. Video links will be circulated each Monday at 10am via email, with the exception of Easter Monday, where it will be emailed on the Tuesday.

Packs: Following the confirmation of your booking, you will receive a Training Booklet and skipping rope by post.
