Second Class had a super Science Week learning lots of new information and doing lots of fun experiments. First we learned all about static electricity by asking lots of interesting questions and then we created electric balloons by rubbing various materials on the balloon to create an electric charge strong enough to move and pick up pieces of paper. We also discussed the different types of forces and then created a balloon rocket which used the release of the air to thrust and push the balloon forward. We then linked this into our First Steps procedural writing. Without doubt there are some future scientists here in 2nd class!
