Maths Week 2021!

Rang a Cúig have been enjoying a variety of tasks and challenges for maths week, on top of their daily maths work! 

On Tuesday we used card games and our wonderful suite of iPads to revise our tables, increase our speed and play some fun maths games! 

On Wednesday we all made a ‘Figure Me Out’ puzzle sheet! We created equations that matched the answers to some personal questions! Tomorrow we will be getting a different class members puzzle to see can we figure out who it is! We also played one of our favourite games, ‘Place Value Bingo’ and we had 4 very happy winners! 

Thursday was a very busy day! We had a chance to solve the ‘Figure Me Out’ puzzles and some of the class got to experiment with our lovely Geomag Shape Panels. In the afternoon we got to play all of the outdoor maths games on our yard. We played; Snakes and Ladders, Target Throws, 3 in a Row and Long Jump. There was some great mathematical calculations and problem solving going on in each activity and it was wonderful being out in the fresh air too!
