The Active School Committee are running a Bake Sale on Tuesday February 17th.Children in 4th, 5th and 6th classes are invited to bake (or provide) one treat which can be sold on the day | School closed for midterm break on 19th and 20th of February. | Swimming letters have been sent home with children from 3rd to 6th. Money can be paid to the class teacher.

Green School - Walk or Cycle to School Week

This week is Walk or Cycle to School Week. Our school has 7 Green Flags at the moment. We are working to get our 8th Flag. The 8th Flag is called Global Citizenship - Marine Environment. Children have done project work with the Marine Explorers about this theme.

To get our Green Flag we need to keep working on the old flags as well. Here are the flags we have already received. Litter and Waste, Energy, Water, Travel, Biodiversity, Global Citizenship Litter and Waste, Global Citizenship Energy. We also record our energy usage on SEAI. We do this every year to try to help us reduce our energy waste and also to help us reduce our bills!!

Thursday is our Lá Glas. On Thursday children can wear Green Clothes to school. 

We hope to have lots of photos of our Lá Glas. Please send us in your walk or cycle to school photos too.
