Beannachtaí na Féile Bríde

1st Feb 2021

Today the 1st of February is St Brigid's Day. St Brigid was born in Dundalk in 450 AD. She is also known as Mary of the Gael or Muire na nGael aka Our Lady of the Irish.

We were left a St Brigid's cross at the door of the school today. Thanks to Sean Og for making it and thinking of us. We have it up in the school now!

If your child made a St Brigid's Cross today - or maybe coloured in a picture of her cloak - why not send us in a photo for our website?

Here is some information about St Brigid from RTE
