Autumn activities in 2nd Class.

2nd class have been busy learning about all things autumn. We were delighted to have the opportunity to explore the different changes that happen in autumn in our local area last week on a nature walk with Mr Cawley. We observed some oak, sycamore, beech and hawthorn trees. We had lots of fun collecting leaves and conkers. 
In Gaeilge the children have been learning about ‘An Fómhar’. They have learned a lovely poem called ‘Duilleoga Deasa’.
The children have created some beautiful autumnal art over the last few weeks. They designed some hedgehogs using coloured card based on autumnal colours. They have also created some colourful autumn trees inspired by the work of Pablo Picasso.
