Today we received the great news that we have been awarded 2023/2024 Pieta Amber Flag!
The Amber Flag Team giving the awards, said that we have shown “great commitment in promoting positive mental health by encouraging teamwork and contributions from peers”.
They said they “thoroughly enjoyed seeing the results of your efforts through the wonderful initiatives you organised”.
Our Amber Flag initiative was a whole school effort throughout the school year. It was led by Ms. Dooney and Ms. Conlon along with student representatives from all classes on our Amber Flag Committee.
We will carry all our positive mental health and well-being practices from this school year into next school year so that they will soon be embedded within our school community.
Our Amber Flag is on it’s way to us and will soon be on display in our school!
